- Coordinate Teleservice Visitations and telephone conferences with interested parties and set up appointment time.
- Type memos, e-mails, update logs and manuals, schedule and track video and telephone conferences, maintain the Police Services video email box and calendar.
- Has a strong knowledge of computers (Microsoft Office Suite) and video equipment and platforms used to conduct the conference (Webex, Zoom), or willingness to learn.
- Assist the departments procurement Associate Governmental Program Analyst in analyzing contract documents to ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations and accepting and reviewing contract bids from various outside vendors.
- Maintain cost analysis and program evaluations.
- Prepare complex analytical and statistical reports.
- Use the data and research collected to assist the Police and Fire Departments with their budgets, equipment purchases and tracking orders.
- Receives and tracks subpoenas received from the District Attorney's Office.
- Coordinates officer court appearances.
- Analyze and determine the appropriate legal response to subpoenas, court orders, and other requests that call for the release of investigation files and other protected information.
- Maintain and updates a variety of data in the Report Management System on criminal cases, administrative investigations and related functions.
- Review documents prior to distribution and makes recommendations such as the need to redact confidential information.
- BE LIST ELIGIBLE: Successfully complete the competitive State civil service exam pertaining to this classification at Staff Services Analyst Exam, OR
- BE TRANSFER ELIGIBLE: Have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable (employees who wish to be considered based on transfer eligibility must meet the minimum qualifications of the classification per DPA Rule 250), OR
- BE REINSTATEMENT ELIGIBLE: Have obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable.

The Staff Services Analyst- Department of Police Services/FireTeleservices Analyst will be directed by the Deputy Chief of Police and/or designee and Fire Chief at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade; AND Four years of experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties.
Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.Candidates who are within six months of satisfying the experience requirement for this class will be admitted to the examination, but they must fully meet the experience requirement before being eligible for appointment.
