Group Leader Accounting (m/f/d) with focus on balance sheet accounting and payment transactions

The DNWAB is a financially stable operating management company with around 300 employees located south of Berlin.

We operate water management facilities for associations and municipalities, providing drinking water for approximately [number] residents, as well as distributing and treating wastewater.

On behalf of our shareholders and clients, we provide commercial and technical services.

We are looking for a Group Leader Accounting (m/f/d) with a focus on balance sheet accounting and payment transactions.

Your responsibilities within our team will include:

• Leading a team of six employees
• Ensuring commercial and tax accounting for the company, associations, and clubs
• Preparing monthly, semiannual, and annual financial statements, as well as supporting documents for tax returns
• Organizing, executing, and monitoring payment transactions, as well as liquidity and credit monitoring
• Actively participating in optimizing internal processes and procedures
• Assisting with audits, such as annual financial statement audits, tax audits, and processing and billing of funding measures

Your qualifications:

• Completed degree in business administration with a focus on finance and accounting, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in a leadership role is advantageous
• A motivating and goaloriented leadership style that promotes a team culture
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, balance sheet accounting, and payment transactions according to commercial and administrative law
• Proficient in MS Office programs and commercial billing software (kVASY
