Who We're Seeking:

We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator who can provide essential support, structure, and guidance to our hospice volunteers.

This individual will play a vital role in ensuring that our volunteers are well-equipped and aligned with Hospice policies and procedures.

They will manage all aspects of our volunteer program, offering administrative assistance to the Hospice Clinical Manager and actively participating in quality improvement efforts within our hospice program.


Your Responsibilities:
As a member of our dedicated team, you'll:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of death and dying and compassionately understand the needs of hospice clients.
  • Uphold thorough knowledge of hospice policies, ensuring confidentiality and ethical conduct in all interactions. Provide comprehensive training to volunteers on hospice protocols.
  • Demonstrate a high level of comfort in dealing with grief and loss issues with clients.
  • Proficiently utilize a range of software programs including Microsoft Office.
  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships and embracing diverse perspectives.
  • Be adept at communication and collaboration.

Requirements:


  • High School diploma required. Strong preference for higher education in health services.
  • Previous experience in volunteer management preferred.
  • Experience in Hospice care preferred.
  • Prior Hospice volunteer training course preferred.
  • Valid VT driver's license required.
