THE POSITION:

The Department of Human Services, Bureau of Administrative Services is searching for a Facility Guardian Officer to join their team.

We are searching for a motivated individual who supports the South Mountain Restoration Center's mission of providing the highest quality of care and services to our residents.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


As a Facility Guardian Officer for the Department of Human Services, you are responsible for performing highly complex duties as a court-appointed guardian or representative payee for all clients of the facility where there is no outside appointee, or for those who have authorized the appointment.

In addition, you assess financial status of residents and approve disbursement of funds according to state fiduciary regulations, department policy, legislation, regulations governing benefits, and in accordance with individual needs of residents.


This position is assigned to South Mountain Restoration Center with coverage as needed at other Office of Developmental Programs and the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment, 37.5hour work week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30minute lunch.

Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 1 day a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in South Mountain.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:


  • Four years of bookkeeping experience and one year of experience in financial planning or management of individual accounts;
    or:
  • Two years of bookkeeping experience and one year of experience in financial planning or management of individual accounts, and an associate's degree in business administration or accounting;_ _
    or:
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of financial planning or management of individual accounts.
