Requirements/Qualifications:

Must be willing to work any shift, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Flexibility and ability to work on various shop, maintenance, and yard tasks
Experience in operation of Pettibone, front-end loaders, material handler, and other equipment are a plus
Ability to read, write, and understand English, follow written and/or verbal instruction, and possess basic math and computer skills
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
Reliable, honest and demonstrate integrity while working with a sense of urgency
Savage is a military friendly company - Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus

Education/Experience

High School or GED
2-5 years of experience preferred but not required
Be able to read, write, speak and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in adverse conditions (heat and cold)
Ability to handle heavy parts and pieces of equipment
Ability to climb on and off the equipment
Physically demanding work will be a daily function of this position
Ability to climb and crawl when needed
Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work extended hours if needed; This includes evenings and weekends
