PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform product demonstrations and present product information at company seminars and trade show exhibitions.
  • Provide onsite and remote problem solving and technical guidance associated with customer service issues and inquiries.
  • Complete all reports and customer information effectively and consistently as deemed necessary by SCIENION.
  • Assist in marketing functions such as trade show exhibitions, scientific posters, or papers.
  • Prepare and present seminars to a wide array of audiences.
  • Document customer issues, investigate underlying causes, and work with colleagues to resolve and/or escalate customer issues or complaints.
  • Develop tools to promote other hardware/software products within SCIENION.
  • Support contract development operations as needed.
  • Travel within territory as needed. Travel up to 50% required.
  • Other related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with automated liquid handling systems, multiplex assays, single cell isolation, and/or proteomics a plus.
  • Requires tactful, empathetic, and responsive communication with customers.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a multifunctional team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as PC skills and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of interacting with a diverse population of internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to firmly adhere to and support safety, environmental, and quality policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Professionally represents SCIENION.

Education/Certification:


  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, life sciences, biotechnology, bioengineering, medical technology or related fields. Master's or PhD a plus.

Experience Preferred:


  • 2+ years relevant in a laboratory environment.

Skills & Abilities:


  • Effective communication, ability to work as part of a team as well as individually, proven problemsolving ability, good documentation skills, and good lab practices.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

Talking

  • Individual must be able to communicate with company personnel and customers.

  • Individual may be requested to spend periods of time on a PC.

Average Visual Abilities

  • Individual must be able to see equipment status, computer screens and environment to aid all activities.

Physical Strength

  • Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without assistance).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • This position will be based at our SCIENION US, Inc headquarters in Tempe, AZ. In additional to customer site travel, some domestic and international travel to our corporate headquarters may be required.
  • Laboratory Environment: Some functions of this role will be performed a in lab environment where various large and small equipment is used in the production of microarrays.
  • Professional Office Environment: This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopy/printers, etc.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
