Transportation Supervisor
Full Time

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

Ensure all work is performed according to USLS approved procedures, standards, and specifications
Directly supervise all activities of drivers and support personnel
Daily routing per customer delivery schedule and times for efficiency and cost reduction
Provide guidance to subordinates on goals and objectives on a weekly basis
Be responsible for driver development, accountability, coaching and counseling
Ensure proper maintenance of facility, forklift equipment, trailers, and handling supplies
Coordinate work assignments, monitor performance, and provide training on relevant job duties
Maintain facility appearance, condition, and security
Perform facility inspections
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have management experience (3+ years preferred), in a highvolume, fast distribution environment
Previous experience in routing and/or dispatching
Strong team player that thrives in a fastpaced environment
Ability to drive performance of direct reports and lead a team in a lean manufacturing environment
Must possess demonstrated leadership ability
Must be 18 or older to qualify
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
Must be flexible to work Sunday-Thursday, Fridays during peak season
Forklift and general freight handling experience
Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations
Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds
Must have the ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Have strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
Strong team player that thrives in a fastpaced environment
