Software Developer - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Logistics/Sustainability, Frankfurt, €85,000

My client in Frankfurt is helping the environment by shifting the transportation of goods from the road to other, less harmful methods of transportation.

Their software model allows freight companies to intelligently combine the benefits of rail, truck, and sea transport.

The company, established for over 40 years, is a partner of DB Cargo AG and is looking for 2 more talented Java developers.

The responsibilities:

Test-driven development (TDD) of operational software in close collaboration with the business department

Development and maintenance of the backend for internet customer booking and the company portal

Integration of the new online booking for customers (web services, REST services)

Technical coordination with the external development partner of the web frontend

The company is currently modernizing its tech stack towards microservices, Java 19, and Docker and needs skilled individuals to drive this forward.

What skills are required?

Professional experience as a software developer in a Java environment

Willingness to work in the city center of Frankfurt on a hybrid basis. You will typically visit the office once or twice a week
