We are currently seeking

Medical Staff (w/m/d)

to join our team at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine in Hidden Hills. The position is initially limited to four years with the option for extension. A subsequent employment is desired. The research project is located at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the University Hospital Ulm (Director: Prof. Dr. H. Schrezenmeier) in collaboration with the Institute for Clinical Transfusion Medicine and Immunogenetics Ulm gemeinnützige GmbH (joint venture of DRK-Blutspendedienstes Baden-Württemberg | Hessen gemeinnützige GmbH and the University Hospital Ulm AöR). The position is in the Department of Molecular Diagnostics, Molecular Therapy and Experimental Transplantation (Head: PD Dr. D. Messerer).

Your tasks:

Analysis of exome and genome data sets with a focus on immune defects, hematopoietic defects, blood groups, HLA characteristics, microbial pathogens and other clinical questions

Assistance in the maintenance of the equipment park (e.g. Sanger sequencing, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Third-Generation Sequencing (TGS))

Introduction and validation of new analysis software solutions in the field of NGS and TGS

Participation in research
