    Job Summary

    RTMSD is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming summer school program (May 24th, June 12th, This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) to fill in for a resignation. You will be responsible for providing instruction and support to a caseload of elementary students with special needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with the Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) of assigned students.
    • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
    • Provide ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to measure student growth.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive educational program for students.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed student records.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.

    Qualifications

    • Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Special Education (PreK-12 or Grades 4-8 with Math concentration).
    • Minimum of one year of experience teaching special education in an elementary school setting (preferred).
    • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and effective teaching methodologies for students with special needs.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills..
