***: The Birthday Party Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Youth and Family Coordinator in the planning, coordinating, and scheduling of all activities for the Birthday Party program. The Birthday Party Coordinator will also assist the Youth and Family Coordinator with supply inventory and purchases. Promote the goals and objectives of the YMCA.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide supervision and guidance for all children participating in the program.
  • Responsible for the set up and clean up of the birthday party program.
  • Coordinate the birthday party activities to fit within the facility.
  • Must be personable, cheerful and attentive to assure that all children are having a fun and safe experience at the YMCA party.
  • Promotes the goals, objectives and mission of the YMCA.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience working with children preferably in a childcare setting.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training required before employment.
  • Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
