Purchaser for Dalene Hardwood Flooring Co., Inc.

Location:
In-Person, South Windsor, CT.

Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay:
$ $31.25 per hour

Responsibilities:

Continuously evaluate purchasing process and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency in placing orders, tracking, and reporting
Source and procure highquality flooring materials from reliable suppliers while ensuring costeffectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
Perform data entry related to purchasing including preparation of purchase orders and maintaining product information in ERP
Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future material requirements to prevent stock shortages and delays in project timelines.
Coordinate with sales staff and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to facilitate smooth procurement processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
Collaborate with the accounting and billing team to reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and payments accurately.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
2+ years experience working as a purchaser or procurement specialist, flooring industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of different types of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., RFMS).
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
Problemsolving mindset and the ability to proactively identify and address potential issues in the procurement process.
