    Description

    McGrath Family of Dealerships is seeking a Office Accounting Manager to join our team We are looking for a responsible Fixed Office Manager who will perform the organization and coordination of administration duties and office procedures. You will create and maintain a proper work environment to optimize our organizational effectiveness, communication, and goals. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the processing and generating of financial data for all departments, providing administrative support to all employees, and assisting other departments with problem resolution. The successful candidate will provide direction and leadership to the office, while having a positive impact on outside departments.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and mentor a team of front office and accounting staff, creating a highly engaged and productive work environment.
    • Oversee daily activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliation responsibilities.
    • Streamline auto dealer systems, including organizing filing systems, ordering office supplies, running productive meetings, and overseeing fixed office accounting areas.
    • Ensure dealership accounting office and auto finance policies are adhered to and reflect our company's high standards.
    • Communicate with third-party vendors, contractors, service providers, and customers as a professional representative of our accounting team.
    • Assist in completion of annual reviews and audits.
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
    • Hire, train, and supervise office and clerical staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
    • Assist in preparation of financial statements monthly according to company and manufacturer guidelines and established time frames.
    • Coordinate and prepare reconciliations for all accounts and physical inventories.
    • Complete daily, weekly, and end-of-month accounting reports as assigned.
    • Work with office staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
    • Assist accounting staff with necessary accounting responsibilities.
    • Reconcile accounts and schedules.
    • Meet with department managers monthly to review finances and pinpoint and resolve improvement opportunities.
    • Approve new charge accounts and oversee collection of past due accounts.
    • Ensure compliance with government regulations.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
    • Previous accounting experience preferred.
    • Two or more years of experience in office management required.
    • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
    • Knowledge of that automotive industry is preferred.
    • Proficient computer skills; including experience with Microsoft Office.
