THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:


The Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in architecting, designing and implementing scalable and best in class OMNI Fulfillment Solutions in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment.

Solves complex business problems leveraging IBM Sterling Order Management Suite and other modern technologies of software development.

Constantly optimize current omnichannel fulfillment (Ship to home, ship from store, Buy online pick up in Store, Same day delivery, Store to door, etc.) to improve speed, accuracy, and inventory efficiency, and provide seamless and premium customer experience.

Works closely with cross functional business and IT teams in a highly collaborative environment to architect well-designed solutions that lower business and IT risk, increase reuse and lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).


YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS:

Executes and Delivers (40%): Designs, builds, tests, implements, and sustains software solutions, ensuring the intended value; Embraces new challenges with a sense of urgency, exuding high energy and enthusiasm; Demonstrates consistent achievement of results, especially in challenging scenarios; Provides input to the construction of diverse test suites (functional, non-functional and destructive) to facilitate successful and swift code deployment to production; Adopts a broad perspective in problem-solving, utilizing an enterprise outlook.

Plans and Coordinates (35%): Engages with fellow team members in agile processes; Innovates to enhance organizational success; Collaborates with the Product Team to craft user stories that are valuable, developer-ready, easily comprehensible, and testable; Communicates effectively through various modes, ensuring a clear understanding tailored to different audiences' unique needs; Adjusts approach dynamically to address the changing requirements of varied situations.; Cultivates open and comfortable relationships with a variety of people from cross-functional groups.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintaining and evolving the OMS roadmap by incorporating the Ulta business and IT priorities.
  • Evaluate the new features in the product and ensure the fitment of the feature within Ulta.
  • Serve as IT System Matter Expert (SME) providing technical and best practice guidance to team in Order Management Solution space.
  • Understand the enterprise initiatives, to transform the information to prepare solution road maps, product strategy and, architectural blueprints that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives.
  • Mentor functional and technical teams around solution architecture and design principles
  • Explore and recommend solutions and workaround options for production issues in timely manner.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues.
  • Lead Outage Calls and Root Cause Analysis for the problems.
  • Holiday readiness planning and Holiday readiness testing guidance.
  • Management of Quarterly upgrades and feature pack update of IBM OMS.
  • Define and promote processes, policies, standards, and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies:

ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:


  • 58 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with implementation of IBM Sterling Order Management Suite (preferably on Cloud or SaaS).
  • Experience with front end technology such as HTML, CSS, TypeScript and Angular frameworks, an objectoriented programming language (preferably Java), Relational or NoSQL database technology, cloud computing techniques, CI/CD tools, modern software design patterns.
  • Experience with providing advisory for creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests.
