Essential Job FunctionsEnsure execution of daily operations within the departmentReview & audit drivers logs and inspectionsWork closely with Safety & ComplianceAccountable for production, supervision and discipline of employeesMonitor and evaluate employees based on goals and standardsEnforce policy and procedure complianceCoordinate with other departments within the companyRespond to & solve problemsTrain employees on job specific dutiesMake suggestions and show initiative for process improvementsEffectively communicate with drivers, clients, vendors and employeesAssist Operations Manager with planning and budget process.

Other duties as assigned.

Other Skills & AbilitiesProblem solving- identifies and resolves problems in a timely mannerClient Service- manages difficult client situations, responds promptly to client needs and welcome client feedbackQuality management-look for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

Physical RequirementsTalking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.

Sitting for extended periods of timeWalking within the warehouse and inspecting freightVision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED RequiredFour years industry experience required.
Two years supervisory required.
