    ESFL Nuclear Services has offices in Oshawa and Kincardine along with on-site locations at the OPG and Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Stations. ESFL Nuclear Services provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services, fit to meet the growing requirements of the global nuclear power industry.

    With over 800 weld procedures and 45 certifications that are audited by ISO, CSA, ASME, TSSA and CWB, ESFL continues to be a leader in the supply of quality nuclear fabrications for projects all over the world. As nuclear power generation evolves and transitions to Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), ESFL will retain the capability to provide design support for manufacturing, factory fabrication, shipping and logistical solutions, technical services and field construction.

    **The Tiverton, ON (Bruce Power)** site is looking for a dedicated, results-oriented professional **Environmental Health & Safety Manager** to join our team.

    ****SUMMARY OF ROLE****

    Responsible for implementing, managing, monitoring and enforcing the Company Health and Safety policies and programs. The Environmental Health and Safety Manager shall ensure safe working procedures and practices at the Bruce Power nuclear site.

    **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

    Manages the site safety program and safety staff

    Understands and is committed to nuclear safety

    Provides exemplary customer service and is a trusted interface with clients

    Develops, promotes and maintains a Nuclear Safety/Health and Safety Management System including policies, programs and processes designed to identify hazards and assess the associated risks

    Conducts audits, assessments, surveys, gap analyses and root cause analyses to identify behavior deficiencies that create error-like conditions and recommend effective solutions

    Develops and implements performance improvement solutions and other processes necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of training courses, material and job aids

    Responsible to monitor all aspects of the work to ensure Line Management is meeting the EH&S requirements including legislative, EH&S policy and procedures and Site safety policies and procedures, when applicable

    Responsible for OPEX, sharing lessons learned, trending and ensuring SCRs are shared

    Liaise with management and labour to ensure that the highest level of due diligence is maintained

    Provides counsel and advice to Company management on all EH&S related matters

    Coordinates and attends on-site environmental health and safety meetings

    Provides site Environmental Health and Safety training, indoctrination and orientation to employees, as required

    May chair or co-chair the Environmental Health & Safety Committee

    Thoroughly investigates accidents/incidents and health and safety-related complaints

    Completes WSIB forms and oversees light duty return-to-work programs

    Generates EH&S statistics and provides regular reports in a prescribed format, to Management or others, as necessary

    Performs weekly site inspections and monthly safety audits

    Maintains daily/weekly/monthly work activity logbooks

    Maintains safety records and documents

    Maintains records of all safety and site information used to provide statistics, charts, reports etc.

    Ensures compliance with OHSA and all other relevant EH&S related legislation and regulations

    Ensures management remains aware of any potential EH&S related issues that may negatively impact the business

    Works with management and employees to develop and implement appropriate return-to-work and modified work programs

    Maintains zero tolerance for on-the-job safety infractions

    Ensures responsibilities and accountabilities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with E.S. Fox Limited's safety policy/procedures, ISO 18001 standards and OHSA requirements

    Ensures that environmental aspects within their scope of responsibility are adhered to pursuant to ISO 14001 requirements

    **PERFORMANCE CRITERIA**

    Environmental Health & Safety Practices, Policies and Procedures are diligently communicated and adhered to

    Zero lost time accidents

    High percentage of return to modified work

    Accessible and available to management and employees with respect EH&S complaints and issues *.*

    **Knowledge and Education Requirements:**

    Post-secondary education (Degree in Management or Occupational Health & Safety) is recommended

    NCSO certification

    CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation preferred

    Current knowledge of OHSA, WSIB, Construction and Industrial Safety Regulations

    Current CPR and First Aid training certification

    WHMIS, Working at Heights

    **Specific Experience or Skills:**

    Practical experience in construction site Health & Safety

    Experience in developing and monitoring modified work or light duty programs

    Demonstrated experience with Return to Work Program

    5 to 10 years direct Safety supervisory experience
