Looking for someone between 25 and 50 years old (we prefer a male). The pay starts at $35 an hour. You must do Live Scan fingerprinting. You will be reimbursed for it. We are willing to go up to $50 an hour for the right person.

You MUST have some kind of experience with adults who have autism/intellectual disabilities/mental health issues. There are brothers in their 30ś who live in the family home. Both are independent and capable of taking care of their physical needs. They do not need help with any physical care (other than reminders/some guidance). This is not a "babysitting" position. Both are very interactive and social. They can take care of themselves independently for several hours a day.

This is more of a teaching/mentoring position than that related to nursing. It is more like being a coach or mentor. You must have patience and the ability to deal with minor emotional or behavioral issues. They both can be stubborn.
If you cannot be assertive, this is not the job for you. Being able to follow directions is a must as well.
The hours are 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Tuesday and Thursday to start. More hours can be added on if things go well. You would be working with one of them at a time, but sometimes both together. You are required to have a car and use it for transportation to local places.

The $35 an hour to start. Pay will increase if we are satisfied with your performance.

Your job would involve
you creating opportunities to;

Working on/reminders about hygiene:
showering, shaving, and brushing teeth.

Working on/reminders about keeping up their rooms. There is a weekly house keeper, but they need help with maintaining their rooms.

Cooking with them - teach them recipes. Not just making lunch for them, but helping them create recipes, and even create dinner for the family.

Social/recreation - community outings. Go to the gym, on walks, shopping, and occasional recreational activities.

Physical Fitness (you must be able to accompany them on walks and to the gym)

Searching for volunteer and/or employment opportunities: mostly volunteer.

Shopping/budget management:
buy ingredients needed for a recipe.

Money management/budgeting

Basically, work on those items that are typical of In - home

Living Services (ILS) and/or Tailored Day Services (TDS).
