- Inspects manufactured and/or purchased parts, tools and gauges and completed components using Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 gauges.
- Uses established company quality control procedures including statistical process control (SPC).
- Performs gauge capability studies on equipment used during Receiving Inspection (RI).
- Operates CMM for critical dimensions and performs layouts using various layout gauges.
- Uses MS Excel and MS Word to collect and analyze data.
- Advises area supervision of any deviation from established criteria.
- Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Completes machine qualifications, process capability studies and R&R studies.
- Assists with maintaining incoming documentation from suppliers (certs, heat-treat charts, etc.)
- Observes all safety and health regulations.
- Promotes safety throughout the organization.
- Must communicate with peers, superiors, and supervisors in a clear and professional manner.
- Follows housekeeping procedures in maintaining a neat and orderly work area adhering to 5s principles.
