    Description

    We are looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at USC, a leading institution in Los Angeles. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating chronic respiratory diseases, prescribing medications, and advising patients on managing their illnesses.

    Under the direct supervision of an Administrative Technologist, you will set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment to diagnose and treat respiratory diseases and illnesses.



    Essential Duties:
    • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures, including oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and aerosol therapy.
    • Perform arterial blood gas draws and analysis.
    • Assist physicians with bronchoscopy and ventilator management.
    • Participate in patient care planning and emergency response.
    • Ensure cleanliness and adhere to infection control standards.
    • Document patient information accurately and operate monitoring devices.
    • Assess patient responses and communicate with the healthcare team.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care.
    • 1 year of experience in respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting.
    • ACLS Healthcare Provider certification from the AHA.

    Required Licenses/Certifications:
    • Respiratory Care Practitioner - RCP (CA DCA).
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT (NBRC).
    • BLS Healthcare Provider certification from the AHA.
    • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City).
    We offer a competitive hourly rate of $66.45.
