    Description
    Spherion is searching for a CNC Machinist to fill a direct hire role for their client in Decatur, IN

    This position would setup and operate CNC turning centers (lathe) to produce parts per print.


    Responsibilities:

    • Receive component prints and gather materials and necessary tooling.
    • Develop a turning process, program machine toolpaths (using MasterCam or similar software) and setup turning centers to produce the part(s) from 1 to 1000 pcs.
    as required.

    • Establish in process checks, monitor tooling and dimensions as the parts are machined.
    • Work with other team members as needed to ensure timely completion, efficiency, and quality.
    Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM


    Skills:

    • Experience with small detailed machining and larger VTL type turning operations is a plus

    Education:
    High School

    Experience:

    1-4 years


    Qualifications:

    • Experience setting up and operating CNC Machinery and producing parts to tight tolerances.
    • Most common backgrounds normally include Vocational Training, Apprenticeship training, and a work history in machining or tool & die.
