Description
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategic communication plans in collaboration with the Chair, personal office, and Caucus communication team.
- Managing the CPC's press activities, including serving as the main Caucus media point of contact, leading quick responses, pitching to journalists, arranging media events, and coordinating with Caucus offices to create on-the-record opportunities.
- Crafting communication materials such as talking points, messaging guidance, op-eds, speeches, press releases, and statements. Also, maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and preparing and distributing information to CPC member offices.
- Overseeing the CPC's digital presence, including strategy development, content creation for social media platforms, website, and other digital assets.
- Providing communication-focused services to CPC offices.
- Managing coalition initiatives and engaging with Hill colleagues and progressive organizations.
- Directly supervising the CPC Press Secretary/Digital and overseeing other junior staff.
