RCCL Supervisor II
Essential Job Functions:


Plans and manages unit operations to achieve program objectives for service delivery by monitoring caseloads, consulting with staff on case issues, and reviewing and approving regulation activities.

Develops the performance of employees who report directly to this position and others assigned to the supervisor's area of responsibility.

Responsible and accountable for ensuring unit members have completed case management actions and processed decisions in accordance with the LPPH, HRC, and TAC to ensure the health, safety and well-being of children in out of home care.

Interprets and advises RCCL staff, agency and facility staff, legislative staff, legal personnel, provider organizations, and the general public regarding program policies and procedures.

Evaluates unit performance through case-readings, QA and other statistical reports, observation of staff, and recommends appropriate action in areas in need of improvement.

Responsible and accountable for ensuring unit members have completed case management actions and processed decisions in accordance with LPPH, HRC and TAC.

Selects, manages, and develops staff through review of performance data, conferences, training, and performance reviews.

Through continuing education, employee maintains current knowledge of child development, regulatory practices, health and safety, applicable law and rule, and related to support the mission of Child Care Licensing.

Attends RCCL supervisor meetings, staff meetings and other meetings and conferences to assist in planning, coordinating, supervising, and administering the RCCL program.

Serves on committees and attends meetings, both internal and external, at the direction of the RCCL Director. Participates in activities to inform the public and stakeholders about the program. Makes presentations and participates in community awareness and related activities to inform the general public about the RCCL program. Performs other duties as assigned and required to maintain unit operations.

Initial Selection Criteria:

Bachelor's degree in human services related field. Experience in child care regulation or child placing activities or closely related activities. Experience in supervision, management or leading projects.


Additional Information:

Must be able to work outside of regularly schedule hours as needed.

  • Must be able to travel, sometimes overnight.
