To meet the rising needs for services in Central Virginia, Horizon Behavioral Health is now hiring for "Clinician Exception" in multiple departments, including admissions, outpatient and school-based services.
With over 50 years of care provided to the community, Horizon's experienced staff of Licensed Mental Health Professionals are ready to get you started learning how to succeed in providing essential care to the community.
This position prepares the Clinician in training with the relevant experience to be automatically promoted to Resident in counseling after training.
Knowledge of clinical supervision requirements and techniques.
Knowledge of community mental health and public health in order to provide advocacy and enhance individual treatment and access the community resources.
Knowledge of the principles, techniques, trends, and literature related to mental health, intellectual disabilities, and substance abuse. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services.This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Skills to analyze situations accurately and develop appropriate response or techniques.
Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends, holidays, etc.) as required. Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver's license. May be called upon to travel to any Horizon worksite; transport clients, provide services to clients in other locations. Regular attendance at training courses and Horizon meetings may require travel.HORIZON ENVIRONMENT
