Overview:


The role of the Student and Scholar Services, Benefits Administrator is to effectively manage day to day servicing of University Services account or accounts by administering eligibility and billing, in addition to providing benefits, claims and access to care assistance.

In this position, you will provide high level customer service insuring that client needs are met in a way that improves customer satisfaction and increases profitability for the company.

You will be responsible for providing full concierge service of assigned client groups along with establishing strong relationships with university contacts


Responsibilities:


  • Process client enrollment forms and send client data to the insurance carrier for enrollment
  • Initiates billing process for postdocs/departments and reconciles insurance carrier billing
  • Provides discrepancy reports to university client as needed to satisfy eligibility questions.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and university contacts
  • Process university data files
  • Renew existing clients annually
  • Manage open enrollment process and conduct client facing meetings as needed
  • Reviews policies and contracts for accuracy
  • Educate client and enrollees about their group's benefit plans, coverage, copays, coinsurance and /or deductibles.
  • Provide responses or problem resolution to all client requests regarding enrollment issues including ordering ID cards, processing enrollment forms, checking enrollment status, answering questions.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience, OR High School degree with 8 or more years client coordination and/or claims management experience.

Life & Health License required. Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time.

Behaviors:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to quickly determine critical issues.
