    The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Heersink School of Medicine seeks non-operative orthopaedic physician in the pediatric division holding MD (or equivalent) at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure earning.

    Candidate must be experienced with limb deformity, spine, sports medicine, neuromuscular disease, fracture care, trauma, and upper extremity.

    Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in orthopaedic surgery, and eligible to be licensed in Alabama. Candidate must have completed a fellowship in non-operative pediatric orthopaedic medicine after prior training in Pediatrics or Family Medicine. The candidate must have in-depth clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and compassionate to all patients. Dedication to the teaching and training of resident physicians is expected.


    The Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery is located at the Children's Hospital of Alabama which is adjacent to the University Hospital complex of teaching facilities.

    The Children's Hospital of Alabama offers a complete array of inpatient and outpatient services and is a Level 1 trauma center.
