Our privately owned Prosthodontic Dental practice is looking for a qualified registered dental assistant (RDA) who will make our office more efficient and pleasant for patients.
We want you to be experienced in providing direct and indirect patient care while being able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
You'll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off our dentist's shoulders. You should be able to follow instructions and take precise directions from the dentist during procedures.We primarily perform advanced implant placements or full mouth reconstructions and require our dental assistants to be highly well-organized with great attention to detail.
You will also be utilizing some of the newest technology, like the 3Shape Trios 4 Digital Scanner and the recently released Yomi Robotic Guided Implant Surgery system.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients to the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and wellstocked
- Assist other team members when needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills required
- Attention to detail is a must
- Wellorganized and reliable
- Knowledge of the Dentrix and Dexis software is a plus but not required
Education
- High school diploma
- Dental assistant school is preferred
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
- Additional certifications or training in assets like Nitrous Oxide
We will consider the right individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn who desires to enter the dental field in lieu of experience, as this has worked out well for our office in the past.
Schedule, Benefits, and Perks
- Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM 5:00 PM, and occasional Friday mornings.
- 32 hours a week, with additional hours as needed

Dr. Shaw's qualifications speak for themselves.He is a board-certified prosthodontist who is currently a member of the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantology, International Academy of Gnathology, ADA, TDA, Capital Area Dental Society, and the American College of Prosthodontics.
Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
