- This position is responsible, in partnership with the Continuous Improvement Director, for developing and maintaining a strong CI culture throughout the company.
- Assist in developing, collecting, maintaining, and providing key performance indicators (KPI's) and metrics data analysis to support continuous improvement.
- Provide regular reporting on progress and analysis of trends to KPIs and initiatives to team members at all levels of organization as appropriate.
- Document, analyze, and provide recommendations for process improvements throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist in CI system rollout with new facilities and team members and assist with documentation and maintaining current system.
- Participate in hosted training sessions on how to use the various tools and reports created by the department.
- Communicate effectively with report stakeholders to ensure strong understanding of the methodology behind all calculations.
- Establish and maintain relationships via business meetings, phone conversations, presentations, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Detail Oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and partner with different functional groups.
- Ability to provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key responsibilities and objectives.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to establish goals and targets to develop measurable and sustainable metrics.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills for audiences at all levels.
- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Wood Industry experience a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with different custom software platforms.
- Experience with SQL a plus.
- Some travel may be required.
