We are looking for someone who has the ability to work directly with our clients.

Must have previous experience in an animal hospital and it would be a plus to have knowledge of veterinary terminology.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Placing outbound calls for followups and reaching out to prospective clients
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
  • Creating and presenting treatment plans based on the doctor's recommendations.
  • Answering questions regarding services and cost
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one year of proven past experience helping clients in an animal hospital setting
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Compassion for pets and people—as well as awareness and understanding of others' reactions
  • Proven decisionmaking skills to choose the most appropriate course of action
  • The ability to integrate new information into problemsolving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $18 to $21 per hour.
