Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

This is a full time varied 12 hour day shift with a $4K New Hire Incentive and $3K relocation if applicable.

(must be 100+ miles away) Located at Scripps Green in Torrey Pines La Jolla.

Our surgical support staff focus on the unique skills required for assisting patients before, during, and after procedures.

Join our Scripps operating room team as a Surgical Tech where you will ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.

Monitors sterile field throughout procedure. Scrubs for cases, anticipates the needs of the physician and operating team. Takes initiative to utilize appropriate support services to resolve issues. Positions and transports patients. Organizes room cleanup and ensures efficient room turnover, including decontaminating equipment as necessary.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
Must remain in original department/specialty
Must remain in original Job Title

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter

Required Qualifications

1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
Current BLS from the American Heart Association
Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment. Detail oriented and able work well in a fast-paced, high stress environment.

Preferred Qualifications

3 years' experience in the main OR
Experience in total joints, Spine, General, Urology and Ortho
CST Certification

Position Pay Range:
$31.73-$47.59/hour
