    Description
    Quality Engineer

    • Experienced quality engineer with an emphasis in aerospace manufacturing. This is a fulltime dayshift position.
    Kemco Aerospace Manufacturing, a diversified solutions provider for the defense industry. We manufacture components and parts for fixed wing fighter aircraft, rotary aircraft, and casings for munitions.

    Responsibilities:
    Identify new and unique quality processes or inspection techniques and prepare inspection and test instructions for the inspections.
    Interpret blueprint and technical specifications.
    Review Job Travelers and or work instructions to assure flow down of quality requirements.
    Analyze areas of quality cost and implement root-cause corrective action for overall reduction in quality cost.
    Demonstrate a working knowledge of statistical process control techniques.

    The applicant must possess good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work with others in a team environment, and be highly self-motivated.

    Applicant should have a forward-thinking mindset, thrive on challenge, and be able to think "outside the box". Strong work ethic is a must.

    Requirements:
    A technical degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality) or 5 years experience as a Quality Engineer
    ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is a plus

    Proficient in 3D CAD Software:
    NX and CATIA
    Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and MSWord with efficient keyboarding skills
    Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
    Experience in aerospace industry is a plus
    Ability to prioritize workload
    Applicant must be knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes
    Qualified applicant must meet minimum requirements and complete application, pass drug & background check for consideration.
