How you will make an impact as an Instructional Designer:

The Instructional Designer provides effective and accessible training and supports the Crown Jewels for all of ADVENT, regardless of physical location or previous experience.

By creating content that supports ADVENT's Proven Clinical Process, with a focus on delivering our Brand Promise, the Instructional Designer contributes to developing the ADVENT team for a Thriving Growth Culture.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with all internal trainers, department leaders and SMEs to ensure that training delivered across the organization is consistent, effective, and in line with all corporate learning and development objectives.
  • Design compelling learning activities and flagship employee training, as well as employee talent development
  • Design learning solutions based upon audience needs and task analysis that include high level design documentation, recommended delivery method, curriculum content, and supporting materials to ensure mastery of learning objective
  • Define and measure annual learning and development metrics, developing content that improves retention and skill transfer within a quick turnaround time, and evaluating the need for updates to course materials
  • Develop and conduct task/impact analysis using surveys, focus groups and other metric quantification methods
  • Identify, propose, and implement continual improvements to drive process efficiency, scalability, and innovation within the scope of your work that enhances our ability to achieve the ADVENT vision and in support of engagement within the culture.
  • Leverage multimedia tools to enhance learning experiences
  • Responsible, in tandem with training leaders, for the review of all training programs, resources, and materials to ensure consistency with training objectives

Skills and Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Education, Learning and Development, or Instructional Design, or 5+ years of experience in instructional development and adult learning theory
  • Experience in developing courseware/curricula in a blended learning environment preferred. Ability to independently design and develop instructionally sound learning solutions in multiple modalities required
  • Experience working with several instructional design tools such as Articulate, GoAnimate, Camtasia, Adobe Suite, MS Office Suite
  • Experience working in and with a learning management system (LMS)
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for design of adult learning programs and content, instruction of individual and group learning programs, mediabased learning, and measurement of training effectiveness
  • Excellent interpersonal and effective presentation skills including written, verbal, and visual communication
  • Proven track record of project management within cross functional team environment, supporting multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment
  • Highly collaborative and able to work with limited supervision
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize and commitment to follow through
