    Posting Summary

    Rutgers, The Statue University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Associate III for NJMS-Medicine-Infectious Diseases.

    This position is under the direction of the Principal Investigator(s), and Senior Study Coordinator and other leadership, the Research Associate III is responsible for on- and off-site study coordination and data management oversight of specific assigned scientific protocol(s).

    This activity includes implementing and monitoring quality control SOPs, conducting periodic monitoring visits, working with investigators at the sites to develop and implement protocols.

    Among the key duties of this position are the following:


    • Coordinates and administers protocols at the international sites.
    • Works with the Senior Coordinator and Investigators in ensuring protocol compliance.
    • Provides specialized protocol, procedure and application (REDCap, FreezerPro specimen tracking) training to international site study team (investigators and staff).
    • Will receive training in protocol conduct, monitoring and interacting with international collaborators from Senior Coordinator.
    • Provides visit specific case report forms, receives and reviews study needs.
    • Assures timely responses to study inquiries and schedules regular "monitoring" visits. Coordinate quality assurance/quality control activities with on-site staff and investigators.
    • Maintains confidential patient records and study files (hard copy and electronic).
    • Ensures that records and stored specimens are always secured and validated

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and Experience


    • Master's Degree in Public Health, Biomedical Informatics with clinical or epidemiologic research database experience
    • OR a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant science plus two (2) years of related research experience
    Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT;

    Laboratory environment. Moderate noise. Must be able to travel internationally for extended stays as determined by project need and availability.
