General Purpose:


The Customer Service Specialist works directly with the Account Managers to support the needs of our customers on a daily basis.


Responsibilities / Duties:


  • Works as a team with assigned Account Manager to support the day to day order management for assigned customers. This includes but is not limited to tender acceptance, order entry, appointment scheduling (rescheduling), load tracking, communication with customers, EDI status update processing, detention monitoring, accessorial processing and payment issue resolution.
  • Interact with Planners and Fleet Managers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries and communicate any potential issues to customers
  • Interact with other departments as needed to support customer activities

Key Performance Indicators:


  • Weekly Revenue by Customer
  • On Time Delivery Performance
  • Order Lead Time
  • Deadhead Percentage
