Midwest Asian Health Association (MAHA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to reduce health disparities for Asian and Pacific Islander Americans (APIAs) and other disenfranchised immigrant populations through culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate community health programs.
MAHA is seeking a full-time mental health counselor for its Community Mental Health Center.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide outpatient trauma informed individual, couples and family counseling services and care coordination
- Facilitate group therapy and/or psychoeducational groups as necessary
- Complete all necessary clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid Rule 132/140, including mental health assessments and individualized treatment plans
- Participate in weekly Mental Health team meetings / group and individual supervision and other required staff meetings
- Collaborate with the Clinic Program Manager and Employment Specialist to address client needs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a field/discipline related to mental health such as psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral science, or marriage and family therapy.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a fingerprint card and background check prior to hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- LPC/LSW/LCPC/LCSW, Certification, Registration
- Chinese and/or Spanish Fluency preferred but not required
- Evening or weekend availability a plus
