    The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a crucial role in caring for patients with end-stage renal disease, assisting the clinical team in providing the necessary treatments during dialysis sessions. Our PCTs are key members of the interdisciplinary team, ensuring the safety and well-being of each patient.

    Schedule: Full-time position with four 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00 am; Sundays off; no overnight shifts

    Responsibilities

    Expectations:

    • Active involvement in infection control, risk management, and patient education
    • Guidance of new patients through a 120-day educational program
    • Recording of vital signs and machine readings during dialysis
    • Working under the supervision of an RN
    • Preparation and maintenance of dialysis equipment
    • Insertion and removal of patient access needles
    • Continuous monitoring of patients, documenting changes, and reporting concerns to the charge nurse
    • Monitoring patient weight loss to achieve desired levels
    • Prioritizing patient care tasks and organizing workload efficiently
    • Ensuring professional conduct, respecting patient privacy and rights
    • Inventory management and tracking
