    Description
    Senior Project Engineer (Structural)

    GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Albuquerque, NM looking to add a Sr. Project Engineer to their team.

    The role is a Direct Hire position.


    Responsibilities :
    Manages engineering and technician staff to complete projects.

    Coordinates structural design scope in-house and with other consultants.

    Develops, monitors, and manages project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.

    Serves as the primary point-of-contact with clients and contractors for their projects throughout design and construction.

    Develops and implements project specific QA/QC plans.

    Acts as a mentor and resource for less-experienced staff and assists with their career development.

    Attends project meetings and represents our client during design and construction.

    Takes an active role in developing and maintaining client relationships.


    This engineer will have the opportunity for structural design nationally and internationally in markets such as healthcare, commercial, office, sports, entertainment, and education.


    Qualifications :
    Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum

    9 years progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year. Passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year)

    Demonstrates leadership abilities beneficial to the company's future

    Possess strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills as well as having excellent time management and organization skills.


    Preferred:
    Has designed numerous projects and followed them through from start of design to end of construction

    Demonstrates effective internal and external communication skills

    Demonstrates advanced project management skills

    Ability to handle stressful situations/deadlines

    Ability to handle confidential information
