    First Shift: 8 am - 4:30 p.m.

    Second Shift: 4pm – 12:30am. With an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential

    Third Shift: 12:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. With an additional $2.00 per hour shift differential

    NPIC was founded in 1996, manufacturing pet treats that are all natural, biodegradable utilizing vegetable proteins. Our mission is to be the industry leader in pet treats and the most trusted choice for pet related information, because we understand that pets are family That's why we make high quality, nutritious and functional products to ensure the wellness, happiness, and longevity of all pets.

    We currently have an opening for a Material Handler/Machine Operator position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ability to lift and carry pounds of dry ingredients to machines and workstations.
    • Extrusion and/or injection mold machines
    • Move materials and products to facilitate optimal production flow and mitigate any efficiencies or downtime.
    • Record production data such as lot codes, weights, quantities, and storage locations of materials, as well as equipment performance problems and downtime.
    • Inform supervisors/leads of equipment malfunctions that need to be addressed.
    • Clean, sterilize, and maintain equipment, machinery, and work stations, using hand tools, shovels, brooms, chemicals, hoses, and lubricants.
    • Observe bin/auger operations and monitor to maintain specified operating levels and to detect equipment malfunctions.
    • Prepare materials to meet product and/or process specifications.
    • Load, unload, or adjust materials by hand, by using lifts, hoists, and scoops, or by opening gates, chutes, or hoppers.
    • All employees have the responsibility to report food safety problems to their supervisor/lead or someone with authority to initiate action.
    • All employees shall identify any risk of intentional harm to the facility, personnel or products. All employees have the responsibility to report unauthorized persons to their Supervisor/Lead or a Manager who will challenge the individual and/or escort them from the site.
    • Teamwork: may be asked to cover teammates machine while they go on break or lunch

    Required Skills:

    • Communicate, Read and Write in English
    • Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
    • Physical ability requirements
    • Follow safety requirements
    • Must be able to lift up to pounds
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Must be able to climb stairs as needed for some machines
