Pay Range:
$68,700-$81,500


Purpose of Position:


Responsible for supervising all direct kitchen/processing activities to meet daily production goals and Company service, quality, cost, safety, and people objectives.


Essential Job Functions:


Supervise the Cooking & Chilling of Fernando's RTE Sku's, complying with all formulations, specifications, methods, procedures and practices that are compliant with Quality Standards and HACCP regulations that are necessary to produce a wholesome product.

Train and monitor hourly employees taking appropriate disciplinary action as required.

Ensure a safe work environment by training and conducting prompt and thorough accident investigations.

Provide timely feedback to immediate supervisor regarding problems with cooking procedures/ingredients, quality, safety, down time and regulatory issues.

Manage his/her area to achieve company yield objectives.


Qualifications Requirements**:


  • Must have an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in business, a technical, or related discipline preferred, or applicable equivalent experience, preferably in the frozen food industry
  • Must have 3 years of food manufacturing experience, with two years in a shift management or production supervision role.
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate well verbally and in writing; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Must have good interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong mathematical background and be able to perform calculations on quality, productivity, time cards, reports, etc.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be able to act independently
  • Must be able to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work
  • Must be able to evaluate employees fairly and objectively; must possess strong human resource skills
  • Must have the ability to understand and deal effectively with massive regulatory requirements
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to stand on the production floor for varying amount of times with or without accommodations
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
