Description

Responsibilities include:


  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating the patients' personal, financial and insurance information
  • Document progress and office notes in the EMR and /or billing system
  • Document services to be billed by collecting and utilizing information from charts
  • Accurately post daily payments and charges to patient accounts, including surgical billing
  • Transmit electronic claims daily work rejections on a timely basis
  • Posting Insurance payments performing contractual allowance and ensuring payments match our contracted rates
  • Process credit card payments and ensure they are posted timely to patient accounts
  • Monitor patient invoices
  • Generate Electronic Patient Statements weekly
  • Collect revenue by reviewing and transmitting insurance claims
  • Support Finance Department by effecting daily and monthly close

Skills & Requirements

  • High School Diploma; additional technical education preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of medical reimbursement experience
  • Medical software program experience required; Excel a plus.
  • High level of listening skills. Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
  • Aptitude to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
