    Description

    Under the general supervisor of the Department Director, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow is a mentored position with the goal of developing an independent scientist at the John Wayne Cancer Institute. The training vehicle involves work focused on mechanisms of innate and adaptive immunity as they pertain to anti-tumor immune responses. Cancer models may include melanoma, breast cancer or others. Projects may include the investigation of the role of microbes, adjuvants, host factors, and microbiomes in enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Research utilizes cellular immunology and molecular biology techniques and systems biology approaches.

  • Significant research experience that led to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals in any area of the biomedical sciences.
  • 4 years Experience in basic science research laboratory working on research projects related to cancer or immunology.
