    Campus Safety Event Officer at Colgate University

    The Campus Safety Event Officer at Colgate University plays a crucial role in providing professional and courteous safety services to the university community. Responsibilities include general assistance, enforcement of regulations, emergency response, and property protection.

    Accountabilities:
    • Patrol and ensure safety and security during events on campus.
    • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
    • Manage traffic, crowds, and enforce rules effectively.
    • Stay updated on policies and procedures to enforce rules.
    Outreach/Diversity
    • Communicate effectively with diverse groups within the university community.
    • Promote an inclusive campus culture by collaborating with various groups.
    • Participate in educational sessions related to university policies.

      • The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, handle multitasking effectively, and perform well in a fast-paced environment. Physical fitness and the ability to work independently are essential.

      Preferred qualifications include previous experience in campus safety or a similar field, knowledge of laws, and certifications in CPR and first aid.

      Basic requirements include a high school diploma and a valid driver's license.

      Physical Requirements: Ability to respond to incidents throughout the campus, climb stairs, patrol on foot, and operate a motor vehicle.
