Description

This position works independently, as well as collaboratively, as part of the accounting team to administrate the accounting and reporting function of the firm's special purpose entities.

What You'll Do:

Accounting oversight of approximately 185 SPE's
Responsible for maintaining all investor related information in Trinity's CRM system
Prepares and Posts Journal Entries and maintains accurate SPE books and records in the General Ledger
Coordinate the preparation, review and communication of distributions
Responsible for compliance with company agreements
Prepare annual financial statements, working with tax department to meet reporting deadlines
Collaborate with investments team to ensure smooth funds flow and closing process for new investments
Performs additional special projects for management
Assist with preparation of 1099's
Assist with accounting related client inquiries

The Right Candidate Will Have These Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Public/Private CPA preferred but not required
Ability to learn on-the-job quickly; apply learning to future projects
Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes and procedures in a rapidly changing environment
Hands-on experience accounting of private equity funds preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Superior problem solving, judgment, and decision-making skills
Ability to think independently, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
Extensive Microsoft suite skills - Excel (pivots, common formulas), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must have the ability to self-direct work and exercise independent judgment to formulate and implement solutions
The Senior Accountant is responsible for mentoring the junior level accountants, including training, reviewing work and contributing to accounting best practices.
Ability to work on-site in our Southlake office.
