Friendly Group is a private equity-based consolidator in the residential home services industry.

We are rapidly expanding our presence across the US, building a network of like- minded HVAC, plumbing and electrical home services companies that share our vision and values that, at their core, focus on team members and customers.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team in Westlake.

Reporting to the CFO, the senior accountant will be a key part of the Accounting team supporting the CFO and Operating Company Controllers in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department.

This role will support full cycle accounting for our group and will have a hands-on approach, ensuring deadlines for the month-end financial close process are met.

What You'll Do:
Perform month end close activities for the home office (headquarters) using Sage Intacct.
Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other internal/external financial reports.
Prepare bank, general ledger, and system reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain cash forecast models on a daily and weekly basis.
Provide support for various audits and participate in monthly financial reviews to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Maintain schedules for balance sheet accounts and make monthly adjusting journal entries as appropriate.

Prepare various reports or perform ad hoc requests, including daily cash report, equipment spend analysis, trend analysis, and tracking of key metrics.

Requirements

Who You Are:
Have a BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA is a plus but not required.
Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience in the financial accounting/general ledger area.
Prior experience in closing and reporting for multi-location companies on a consolidated basis is preferred.
Exhibit prior experience with financial audit and annual tax returns.
Experience with Sage Intacct is required with knowledge of Service Titan a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word with working knowledge of other Microsoft suite products.

Ability to present information clearly orally and in written format and respond to questions from Senior Management, auditors, and other internal or external customers.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and governmental publications.
Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Provide analytics on financial data as requested to Chief Financial Officer and other Senior Management using concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions when needed.

Ability to prioritize projects and manage them simultaneously.
Experience solving issues as they arise and deal with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
