- Provide excellent patient care.
- Specimen Collection, handling, and processing according to established guidelines.
- Skilled venipuncture collection.
- Clerical and data entry of laboratory tests.
- Perform waived and moderately complex testing as assigned, Recognize abnormal results. Follow through with reporting/notification/documentation of abnormal results according to procedure.
- Ability to calm patients and work under stressful conditions.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience using blood collection techniques in a clinical lab setting is preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience working with the public or demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals in a positive, friendly and helpful manner.

Description
We are looking for a Part-time Phlebotomist to join our NW Portland locationThe phlebotomist is a professional representative of the laboratory whose primary function is to provide excellent customer service and venipuncture collection. This position will work collaboratively with all healthcare team members toward positive outcomes for the patient and the organization, perform phlebotomy services, collection and handling of specimens, understanding of department procedures and computerized EMR and Lab Information Systems.
The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 1:30pm.

We offer a competitive Total Rewards Program. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on factors such as position type and FTE. Vancouver Clinic offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, long term disability, health savings account, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and multiple supplemental benefits (voluntary life, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, legal services, etc.). We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
