Description

Sauder's Eggs is looking for Shipping Supervisors at our Ephrata Plant Location, Spanish Bilingual desired.

Effectively and efficiently manage labor in the shipping department to ensure all duties are completed fully and use the company's resources to their fullest.

Verify all steps are taken from a clerical standpoint to ensure all loads are loaded per request. Increase efficiency within the department and realize that controlling cost is instrumental to our success.

Work with all departments to provide a high level of customer satisfaction, helping Sauder Eggs/Sauder Transport to be the Best in Class.

Promote a high level of safety within the department through training and implementing new procedures as needed.

2nd Shift Schedule

Monday to Friday 12:30 pm until 10:00 pm or work is complete, generally a 45 hour work week.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Coordinate with production to ensure product is shipped as efficiently as possible.
Ensure equipment is distributed based on need, not ease or seniority.
Verify that the dock and yard are kept clean and maintained
Notify Transportation, Scheduling, and Customer Service when there is a discrepancy on a load.
Notify driver's when there is a discrepancy on their load.
Daily communication with production scheduler, customer service, drivers & logistics scheduler
Ensure all necessary BOL's are printed
Daily responsibility of after hour phone calls and electronic messages dealing with shipping/loading issues
Use of JJ Keller ELD mapping system as needed
Make sure every load is loaded each day
Manage employee's vacation, time off requests in the computer system and sign off on weekly hours.
Hold regular meetings with your team to provide updates and training.
Respond to driver's comment on QCFs
Print, Review and Forward the
Truck Inventory Report to Accounting
Train personnel to the proper requirements of loading and stabilizing the product
Make sure all trailers are cleaned and presentable before loading.
Ensure trailers are being checked for fuel and temperature settings.
Performs other special duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

3 years proven supervisory experience managing shipping or warehouse dept's
Must be able to read, write and understand basic English
Basic math skills needed
Strong communication & organizational skills
Valid driver license
Must take a training course in operating an electric jack
Must take a training course in operating yard jockey truck

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift 2060 pounds frequently.
Must be able to perform physical labor for up to 810 hours
Must be able to bend and stretch frequently.
Must be able to lift and perform duties overhead
Walking and Standing for entire shift
