Summary:
Use quality measurement devices to measure, gage, or otherwise determine compliance to dimensional standards and prepare appropriate reports to document the product compliance.
Responsibilities
- Program, setup, and operate Hexagon CMM equipment & other quality measurement devices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Review results for accuracy and adequacy. Identify and segregate any nonconforming products.
- Work with quality, engineering & production to resolve issues and assist with root cause & corrective action.
- Troubleshoot and edit CMM programs to adjust for revision changes, improve program efficiency

- Document and perform first article inspections via AS9102, or other standards as required
- Coordinate with contracted programmer as required
- Maintain equipment by completing required calibration, preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions and working with service when necessary.
- Complete other Quality Projects as assigned.
- Serve as inspector in areas other than CMM as required.
- Work with machinists, production operators, engineers, metrology techs and mechanical inspectors, programmer(s) to determine part and fixture designs.
- Regularly mentors, trains and may lead and/or oversee work of others.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
