Description
Plan Sponsor Relationships
· Build strong trust-based relationships to make plan sponsor relationships as strong and successful as possible
o Proactive vs. reactive
o Quick resolution of issues and concerns
· Work upstream to get to C-suite involvement with decision makers (not just day-to-day contacts)
· Obtain clear understanding of client goals
o Understand the stakeholders, corporate structure, business drivers, and overall industry
· Responsible for client retention and overall satisfaction with Newport
o Manage RFI / RFP process, if applicable, to ensure competitive fees and "stickiness" of the relationship
o Clearly communicates and positions the Newport story
o Client satisfaction survey / Net Promoter Score (NPS)
· Participation in quarterly Committee meetings (in-person when possible)
o Plan Health Report
o New and upcoming legislation
o Company updates
o Product updates
· Presentation of annual business plan
· Coordination of employee education
o Identify specific education goals of the sponsor
· Lead plan design discussions / benchmarking trends to ensure plan is running efficiently and adequately preparing participants for retirement readiness
o Ex. PLANSPONSOR survey data presentation
· Generate additional revenue through additional services and / or cross-selling of products
o Ex. 529 plans, HSAs, promote ERISA consulting / compensation consulting team capabilities
o Increasing plan participation / automatic enrollment
o Creating efficiencies through 3(16)
· Develop and implement strategies to increase plan sponsor satisfaction
o Participant education campaigns – specific goal to increase participation
o Merger / acquisition / plan design with ERISA consulting team
· Invoice / fee reviews and benchmarking as needed
Advisor Relationships
· Build strong trust-based relationships to make advisor relationships as strong and successful as possible
o Proactive vs. reactive
· Assist with preparation for quarterly Committee meetings
· Ensure advisor satisfaction with entire Newport relationship not just individually assigned plans
o One plan can affect the entire relationship
· Manage relationships with the understanding that each advisor has unique priorities, goals and expectations
Newport / Ascensus Relationships
· Collaborate with internal partners to build strong relationships and facilitate quick resolutions to issues
o Understanding internal processes and escalation points
o Suggest process enhancements where needed
· Identify, track, and communicate issues and risks to senior executives / leadership
o CRM at-risk case management
