    Job DescriptionStaff Accountant
    A growing client within the retail space is hiring a Staff Accountant. This individual will play a vital role in supporting the accounting team and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess technical accounting skills, demonstrate initiative, and exhibit a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, with the potential for growth within the organization.Job Responsibilities
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Compile and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Record journal entries for various transactions accurately and timely.
    • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Prepare and review reconciliations for various accounts.
    • Assist in financial analysis and variance explanations.
    • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
    • Implement best practices to streamline accounting processes.

    Minimum Job Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar); NetSuite experience preferred.

    ***This is an IN OFFICE role. Potential for some hybrid flexibility down the road***
