    Description

    Job Title: Senior Accountant

    Location: Columbus, OH

    Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting principles, financial analysis, and possess proficiency in QuickBooks. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
    • Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Manage and coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
    • Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, highlighting key trends and variances.
    • Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and processes.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
    • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting position.
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required, along with advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
