Starting Pay:
$30 - $35 per hour based on experience and free parking

Charles River Boat Company is a Cambridge and Boston-based boat company operating sightseeing cruises and private chartered events on the Charles River and Boston Harbor.

We are looking for captains to join the Charles River Boat Company, which has a longstanding record of exceptional safety and service standards.

Position Overview:

We are currently hiring captains for our 2024 season (April - October) for both our public sightseeing cruises and private events.

The Charles River Boat Company operates 7 different vessels that range in size and equipment requiring a USCG 100-ton captain's license.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to confidently drive 65ft twin screw vessels in close quarters
• Follow safety procedures in order to ensure protection of passengers and vessels
• Work as a team with the all staff
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and safety at all times
• Enjoy customer interaction

Job Qualifications:

• Preemployment and ongoing random drug testing required for all marine personnel
• Minimum of Valid 100Ton inland license
• Outgoing, professional, and energetic personality
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
• Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
• Experience with hospitality and service standards
• Knowledge of Charles River and Boston Harbor, preferred, but not required

Hourly pay based on experience and boat handling ability. If hired, all employees must pass a drug test as required by the US Coast Guard. Employees must have the ability to work nights and weekends and attend company training sessions prior to employment. We look forward to meeting you
